Congrats Android owners, you now get to enjoy the same mobile Twitter features as us iPhone users have been reveling in for months! Yes as of today Twitter for Android supports multiple Twitter accounts and allows you to receive push notifications on your phone.
Users who want to try out the sleek new features can go to Account Settings, choose Automatic Refresh and select whether they want to receive updates for Direct Messages, Tweets or @Replys.
In addition to push notifications and a slight user interface refresh, Twitter for Android now supports multiple accounts, and users can switch between accounts by hitting the Option key then Accounts on their phone, then selecting their Account name from those listed.
It’s seriously about time for both of these features; Android leads the platform share amongst smartphone users, even though almost nobody I know actually uses one.
